Roberto didnt win anything his "success" at MK Dons is hotly disputed. He took over a side that was flying high on confidence and success he added a few of his own choices to Inces side and failed to get promotion. Ok, yes, he finished third on a points total that in any other season and lost the play offs on penalties to the eventual promoted side but the three months where we won just 25% of games played highlighted his inability to change things.
Tactics and game plans are the lifeblood of a manager, the Dons fans are probably not as demanding or expecting as the Boingers. They are a yoyo club who are expecting to be challenging to regain their cherrished place at the top table.
RDM is going to be under much more pressure and certainly far more under the microscope with Albion than he ever could have been with MK Dons. Its going to be tough and his start could not have been much harder Newcastle United live on the TV.
Were apparently two million quid better off as a result of West Broms desire to have Robby as their leader which should be enought to pay his successor and boost the incomers playing budget sufficiently to challenge for a top two finish. So for that we are eternally grateful.
Grazie Roberto. Ciao.
